iGEM — Synthetic Biology (BNDS-China)
I led and later instructed BNDS-China at iGEM, the world’s largest synthetic-biology competition. Over two seasons the team won gold medals and finished among the top 10 high-school teams.
- Devised the research direction (a probiotic platform to alleviate gut dysbiosis), contacted labs, and oversaw experiments including inducible-promoter characterization.
- Built the dry-lab work: modeled genetic-circuit expression dynamics and used protein-structure prediction tools.
- Ran human-practices outreach, interviewed clinicians and synthetic biologists, and organized inter-team conferences; joined the iGEM Jamboree in Paris.
- Role: club president, 2024 team leader, 2025 instructor
